CAROL WILLIAMS

Carol's Story

Carol started as a coach with Phoenix in 2023. Carol brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in triathlon and more particularly, cycling and swimming. Carol started cycling in 2012 to keep fit. Six months later she rode in the inaugural ‘Ride to Conquer Cancer’ (now MACA Cancer 200) and again the following year raising over $20k for cancer research in 2 years. Since then, Carol has completed many and various distance cycling events locally, including the 3 Dams, 5 Dams, Armadale GF, Tour of Margaret River (ToMR), as well as the Cape to Cape and SeVen MTB events. Carol has also competed in multiple interstate cycling events such Amy’s GF in Victoria, L'Etape Australia (by Tour De France) in Mt Kosciusko and the inaugural Brisbane GF. Since 2017 Carol has moved into Ironman events, including multiple Busso 70.3s and the full Busso Ironman in December. In June she competed in her first international 70.3 in Hawaii and is currently registered for Busso 70.3 in December and the Ironman Port Macquarie in May 2024. Carol has decided that coaching is the next step in her journey in the sport that she loves and comes to us with not only a wealth of experience but she also holds the Triathlon Australia Foundation Accredited Coach qualification and has many years of experience as an AUSTSWIM teacher. With Carol’s knowledge, experience and her enthusiasm to assist others achieve their goals, we are sure she will be a valuable member of the Pheonix family. Please join us in welcoming Carol!
