PHOENIX TRIATHLON CLUB
Phoenix Triathlon Club is a friendly, welcoming club supporting triathletes of all abilities across the Perth Hills, Eastern Suburbs and the Swan Valley with Triathlon coaching and squad training. Our members include beginners through to junior elite athletes right up to experienced Ironmen and women. Phoenix Triathlon Club caters for everyone.
We are affiliated to Triathlon WA and our aim is to welcome new and existing triathletes into one of Western Australia's fastest growing sports through a friendly, fun and challenging club environment.
The club aims and objectives are:
To offer coaching and competitive opportunities within triathlon
To promote the club within the local & triathlon communities
To promote interest and participation in duathlons, triathlons, adventure races and general multi-sport events in Western Australia
To promote, conduct and assist generally in the sport of triathlon, duathlons, adventure races and general multi-sport events in Western Australia in all its form
To promote good fellowship and sportsmanship among all members of the Association
To liaise with and be affiliated with Triathlon Western Australian (Inc.)
We run regular training sessions at various locations in and around the Perth Hills and the Swan Valley.

WHAT IS A TRIATHLON?
Triathlon is all ultimately all about the swim, ride and run. There are many different distances you can race, including:
Novice (or Enticer):
250m Swim, 10km Bike, 2.5km Run
750m Swim, 20km Bike, 5km Run
An Olympic (standard):
1500m Swim, 40km Bike, 10km Run
Half ironman distance (70.3):
1900m Swim, 90km Bike, 21.1km Run
Iron distance (140.6):
3800m Swim, 180km Bike, 42.2km Run
